Elafonissi Beach from Rethimnon
Fairly called the “Caribbean of Crete”, Elafonissi is a must swim beach in the southwesternmost tip of Crete! Elafonissi is a Natura 2000 protected area as many rare plants and animals find selther on the island.
Our tour will first take you to St.Sophia cave, full of stalagmites and stalactites and chapel with amazing panoramic views of Topolia gorge. The tour includes 3 hours free time at the exotic beach to enjoy the crystal clear turquoise water and the pink coral sand! It is very well equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas (on an extra cost) as well as with canteens for snacks and cold drinks. The beach is also ideal for families with young children as a lagoon that doesn’t not exceed 1 meter depth is shaped, offering a safe place to swim in. The beach is very crowded during high season but you can always find a spot to relax if you don’t mind to walk along the peninsula. In any case it does worth a visit as it is recognised as one of the 10 top beaches in the world! On the way back we stop to the picturesque Ellos village which is full of chestnut trees, small family tavernas and suvenir shops!
An exotic beach that will stay in your memory for a long time after your visit!
