First Stop: Gramvousa Island

Arrive at the historic Gramvousa Island, often called the “Pirates’ Island.” Spend about 1.5 hours here, where you can choose to:

  • Snorkel around the famous shipwreck lying just offshore.

Second Stop: Balos Lagoon

  1. Arrival at Kissamos port Early arrival

    For your convenience it is better to arrive at Kissamos port at least 30min before departure. There is a parking area for your car free of charge!

  2. Reservation Voucher Ticket

    Exchange your voucher for your tickets at the kiosk of the company and get on boat.

    You can choose between the following:

    • 10:20/10:40 departure (no guarantee which boat you will take between these two as it depends on numbers)
    • 12:30 departure (available only in July and August)
  3. Itinerary Stops

    You either have your first stop to Gramvousa island or Balos lagoon – it depends on the boat you are taking. In any case you have apprx 1.5 hours on the island and 2.5 hour at Balos lagoon.

     

  4. Nature area Please respect the area

    Both Gramvousa and Balos are NATURA 2000 areas, so the following are strictly prohibited: any kind of pollution, collection of rocks, fossils, shells, ancient findings, plants, animal hunting, free camping, fire and smoking around fauna, any activity that may threaten or damage the ecosystem and archaeological sites.

  5. What to take with you Essentials
    • Before disembarking the boat, you may want to take with you bottled water and snacks.
    • Bring your beach towels – beach towels are not including in this type of tour.
    • Your camera.
    • A hat, sunscreen, and comfortable shoes are essential under high temperatures, especially during the summer months.
  6. Other notes Useful info
    • You may use your credit card for purchases on board the ship – make sure you have some cash with you as sometimes the signal at the region is not strong enough.
    • The Municipality of Kissamos, when issuing the ticket, receive 1 € (paid in cash) for passengers over 13 years old, who will visit the lagoon of Balos.
  7. Arrival back at the port Estimated time

    The arrival time back at the port is as follows:

    • If you take the 10:20 boat, you are back at 17:45
    • If you take the 10:40 boat, you are back at 18:00
    • If you take the 12:30 boat, you are back at 19:30

  • Participants under 2 years old travel for free.
  • Participants from 3 to 12 years old pay €24
  • Participants over 13 years old pay €40

Discounts:

You are entitled to a discount if you are:

  • A Student, person with disability, member of a large family (4+ chi), passenger over 65 years old or an “ANEK SMART” card holder.
  • The amount of the discount is 4€ for passengers over 13 years old with a final ticket price of 34€ and 2€ for passengers between 3-12 years old with a final ticket price of 17€.
  • These discounts are given upon presentation of a relevant ID.
  • These discounts are not cumulative, thus only the highest will be counted in case you are entitled to more than one.
