Balos Lagoon and Gramvousa Island Day Cruise

Departure from Kissamos port and after about an hour on boat with amazing views of the Kissamos golf, we reach Gramvousa, the pirates’ island. There, you shall stay for about 2 hours and you can either walk to the Venetian castle or stay at the beach or on boat to enjoy the views and swim in the cool crystal clear water of the island. Gramvousa is also ideal for snorkeling, especially around the old shipwreck. Then we get on boat again and after 20 min we reach Balos lagoon where you spend about 3 hours swimming in the lukewarm, shallow, turquoise blue waters, relax in the pink sandy beach, which is filled with shells, and admire the natural beauty, the rocks and the cliffs rising above you!

Important notes:

• Both Gramvousa and Balos are NATURA 2000 areas, so the following are strictly prohibited: any kind of pollution, collection of rocks, fossils, shells, ancient findings, plants, animal hunting, free camping, fire and smoking around fauna, any activity that may threaten or damage the ecosystem and archaeological sites.
• Before disembarking in Gramvousa and Balos, you may want to purchase, bottled water, soft drinks, snacks, coffee, sandwiches, beach items, etc. from the bar.
• You may use your credit card for purchases on board the ship.
• There is a free parking area at the port of Kissamos.
• The Municipality of Kissamos, when issuing the ticket, receive 1 € (paid in cash) for passengers over 13 years old, who will visit the lagoon of Balos.
• A hat, sunscreen, and comfortable shoes are essential under high temperatures, especially during the summer months.
