Activities taking place from Rethimno area

Rethimno is located in the middle of Crete, originally a resting point from Chania to Heraklion in Venetian times. The town still holds its old Venetian appearance and a stroll in the winding alleys is enough to enstill you with a sence of the days past. On top of the city lies Fortezza, a sleepless guardian of dangers long forgotten. The longest sandy beach lies in front of the city, waiting for the leisurely guest. For the rest, the mainland offers trails, caves, monasteries, lost civilizations and some of the best pebble beaches in the South.
